composer and poet

Virginia Firnberg studied piano and composition at The London College of Music, gaining an LLCM in 1985, also winning several composition prizes.  She won The Lillian Hunt prize for composition in 1989 awarding her further study with Herbert Brün at The University of Illinois. She subsequently gained an MA in composition at Michigan State University in Michigan USA, in 1994.

Virginia is also a published poet: her poetry has appeared in many publications including: FLOATING CAPITAL, an anthology of new poets from London (Potes and Poets Press).
